Aside from providing flexible, startup-friendly workspaces and a thriving community for its members, The Company also aims to empower and help startups grow and develop their businesses. Since its inception in Japan, The Company has always supported, partnered with and launched various startup programs in each of its co-working space and shared office facilities.

One of the most notable startup programs The Company’s Cebu branch continues to support and help develop is Startup Island PH’s Mentorship Program.

This September 4, 2020, at 6PM via Facebook Live, the Department of Trade and Industry - Region 7 and The Company Cebu will be launching a 3rd leg of the mentorship program which will run for 3 months. There will be 9 sessions, exclusive fireside chats, and a demo day. The program coordinators will be discussing all the information related to the program during the launch and will be announcing the new partners, mentors, and the application process for mentees. The whole program is free. Mentees would not be required to pay any fee to attend any part of the mentorship.

Through the 3-month long startup accelerator program, Startup Island PH can then increase support for startups and give them direct access to mentors, potential partners, clients, and investors.

Startup Island PH Mentorship Program is one of the three pillar events started by the Department of Trade and Industry 7 with the local startup community. The first batch of mentees went through the program in 2018 and the second one in 2019 at The Company IT Park. Some of the mentees that went on to become growing and impactful companies are Oh My Grocery PH, Light of Hope PH, Revastaff among others.

Startup Island PH ultimate aim is to empower, equip, connect and support startups through its three main programs: Mentoring & Matching Sessions, and Community Mixers. All three events are done in partnership with the local startup, creative-, and tech- communities and companies.
