Expanding to the Philippines
from Australia?

Here’s what most businesses get wrong.

We assumed we could just pay them as contractors.

Misclassifying employees as freelancers in the Philippines carries serious legal risk — including back pay, penalties, and labour disputes. It’s one of the most common and costly mistakes foreign companies make when hiring here.

Setting up a local entity took 6 months and cost us a fortune.

Most foreign-owned companies in the Philippines need a minimum of US$200,000 in paid-up capital. Add legal fees, accounting, permits, and a registered address — and you’re looking at a long, expensive commitment before you hire a single person.

Our global EOR just raised a support ticket when we had a payroll issue.

Software can process data. It can’t resolve disputes, navigate local labour nuance, or pick up the phone when a problem arises. Zero-Ten Park has a dedicated Philippine HR team — real people, on the ground, who know the system and respond when it matters.

When EOR Goes Beyond Software

Software can automate data, but it can’t resolve HR issues, navigate local labor nuance, or support people on the ground.

We combine technology with a dedicated Philippine HR team and physical offices, something global-first platforms simply don’t offer.

Why Australian companies
choose us over Deel, Remote, and the rest

Global EOR platforms are built for volume — not for the Philippines specifically. We are.

US$230/month flat

Transparent pricing. No hidden fees. Scales as your team grows. Global platforms charge US$599+ per employee — that’s often more than the employee’s salary for smaller teams.

Dedicated Philippine HR team

Real people on the ground in the Philippines — not a support ticket queue or chatbot. When your employee has a dispute, payroll correction, or compliance question, we handle it directly.

Physical offices in Cebu & Manila

Professional workspace for your Philippine team, included or optional. Ideal for Australian companies that want their offshore staff working in a professional, managed environment.

Philippine-first compliance

Local labour law expertise built specifically for the Philippines — not generalised guidance spread across 150 countries. We know the nuance.

Team live in under 2 weeks

Most teams are fully onboarded and compliant within 7–14 days of starting the process. We guide you through every step.

FAQ

Questions from Australian businesses

Accounting manager smiling while working
Do I need to register a company in the Philippines to use an EOR?

No. That’s the core benefit of an EOR. Zero-Ten Park acts as the legal employer in the Philippines on your behalf. You direct the work; we handle all employment, payroll, and compliance obligations under our existing Philippine entity. You don’t need to invest the US$200,000+ in paid-up capital that a standard foreign-owned entity requires.

Can I hire contractors in the Philippines instead?

Technically yes — but it carries significant legal risk. Philippine labour law takes misclassification seriously. If the working relationship resembles employment (regular hours, direct management, exclusive engagement), the worker may be considered a de facto employee regardless of your contract. EOR is the compliant, legally protected path.

What's included in the US$230/month fee?

The standard fee covers employee onboarding, legal employment contracts, payroll computation and processing, tax filing, government statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and full HR support including employee relations and dispute handling. Workspace access is available at additional cost.

How quickly can my team be up and running?

Most teams are fully onboarded and compliant within 7–14 days. The timeline depends on document readiness and candidate availability. We guide you through every step from the moment you reach out.

Is there a minimum number of employees?

No minimum. We work with Australian businesses hiring a single specialist through to teams of 50+. The flat US$230/month rate scales consistently regardless of team size.

What happens if there's a dispute or HR issue?

Our local Philippine HR team handles disputes, mediation, and labour case support directly. This is one of the key differences from software-only EOR platforms — we have real people on the ground who understand local employment law and act quickly when issues arise.
